Dress Code
DRESS CODE
It is recommended that students wear laced or Velcro-strapped tennis shoes to school every day. Boots, Heelies, Croc-type shoes, light up shoes, backless shoes, sandals, and slippers cannot be worn to school. They are not allowed. Socks MUST be worn each day. During cold weather girls may wear footed stockings, only. No leggings or yoga pants, allowed. Ballet type shoes are NOT recommended for safety reasons. No hoodies. The St. Bernard Parish School Board has adopted a parish wide mandated school uniform policy for all students. All students are required to wear uniforms as outlined below. UNIFORM POLICY:
The St. Bernard Parish School Board requires that all students adhere to its adopted school uniform. The new uniform policy was adopted during the 2019-2020 school year, following the recommendations of a committee comprised of teachers, administrators, and parent representatives from each school.
Elementary Schools:
Uniform Pants

Boys:
Khaki colored or navy
(or dress shorts)
White oxford
White or hunter green collared polo/golf (hunter green polo/golf shirts purchased from or authorized by the school)
Girls:
Khaki colored or navy
(or dress shorts, skirts, or jumpers)
White oxford or uniform broadcloth
White or hunter green collared polo/golf (school color polo/golf shirts purchased from or authorized by the school)
All grade level uniforms include the following:
Sweatshirts, uniform sweaters: (hunter green or white v-neck, vest, crew or cardigan styles). Sweatshirts MUST be SOLID navy, SOLID white, or hunter green with the school logo.
School jackets: must be authorized by principal/designee and must be solid hunter green.
Tennis, casual, or dress shoes: Tennis shoes are the preferred shoe for everyday wear. They are required on PE days.
Belts: Required with clothing with belt loops. Belts must be the appropriate size. Belts must be SOLID black, blue, khaki, or brown. Belt buckles must be plain, no logos, or characters.
Socks and footed-stockings: SOLID white, neutral, black, navy or brown. Socks must be worn every day.
Hair: All students must have appropriate haircuts. No extreme haircuts will be permitted. Frosted, bleached, or colored hair is considered to be extreme and is not allowed.
Davies Spirit Shirts and Blue Ribbon Shirts may be worn every FRIDAY with uniform pants, shorts, or skirts.
BLUE Jeans can ONLY be worn on designated Jeans Days once a month for $1 donation.
